Gunners chairman issues RVP warning

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood won’t break bank to keep Robin Van Persie. Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood admits the club could lose star striker Robin Van Persie this summer if a mega-offer is made from another club.

The Dutch hitman, who scored 30 Premier League goals in a sensational Premier League season for the Gunners, has 12 months left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and could leave for free at the end of the 2012/13 season if a new agreement isn’t reached.

That leaves manager Arsene Wenger with a decision if a new deal can’t be agreed, and speculation is rife that the north London outfit may have to sell their prized asset after Euro 2012.
